North Korea's media on Saturday released a video of its leader Kim Jong Un watching a live artillery drill and a soldiers' shooting contest.

The North's state-run television KRT showed Kim accompanied by high-ranking officials looking through binoculars to watch the drill.

In the video, participants of the fourth meeting of company commanders and political instructors of the Korea People's Army (KPA) were also seen observing the exercises.

On October 22-23, Kim attended the KPA meeting to discuss ways of strengthening military units in the army, media reports said.

Seoul's Yonhap news agency said the meeting was attended by 20,000 military officers. It is also the largest convened by the North and the first to be held in more than a decade.
