A gas station clerk managed to escape a violet armed robbery with minimal injuries after his bullet proof phone stopped a projectile bullet from entering his body. The whole ordeal started when a male wearing a fluorescent yellow vest walked into a Hess station located in Winter Garden, Florida.
The suspect first asked the female employee where his preferred drink was, but he soon returned to the check-out counter and produced a firearm, demanding that the safe be opened and emptied.
The female clerk tried to open the safe but she was unable to. A male employee tried to assist her but neither one were successful in opening it up and getting money out.
The robber walked towards the exit empty-handed, but not before turning around and firing a shot in the direction of the workers. Emergency crews were called to the station. That’s when the male worker started complaining about pains in his chest.
Police soon realized the man had actually been hit by the bullet. It was still embedded in his HTC phone, which had been in his chest pocket during the robbery.
The man suffered no other injuries despite the pains from the impact.
