If you've been anywhere near the Internet, you know that trailer for the upcoming "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" hit the web today, giving us a little taste of what's in store when the movie makes it to theaters next year. But the trailer isn't the only tease fans of the X-Men franchise are getting, as Director Bryan Singer took to Twitter to answers questions about the time-bending movie. If there was ever a time to follow Bryan Singer on Twitter, yesterday was it. The director/producer was very generous with his responses to fan questions in an impromptu Q&A sesh, teasing that "Days Of Future Past" will have a "darker" tone than previous X-Men movies, while incorporating appropriate stylistic throwbacks to 1970's cinema. When asked about what it was like combining the original X-Men cast with their younger "First Class" counterparts, Singer described the experience as, "awesome, and slightly intimidating." He also continued to talk character specifics, saying we'll see Mystique as more of a, "hardened kick-ass" version of herself as opposed to the than the unsure-of-herself version we saw in "First Class." And of course what's a Q&A without a little behind the scenes scoop? When asked who was the biggest practical joker on set, Singer simply said: "Two words. James. McAvoy. #IHaveTheFootageOnMyiPhone" Which leads me to my question for the "Days Of Future Past" director...will we be getting a "Bryan Singer's iPhone" special feature on the Blu-ray?" But most importantly, in my humble opinion, when asked what X-Men characters he'd like to use that he hasn't, Singer said everything this fangirl wanted to hear, replying with, "Gambit and Deadpool" two highly under utilized characters in the X-Men franchise who have never been done right on big screen. Although we won't be seeing them in "Days Of Future Past," his tweet did effectively raise my hope that maybe one day Singer will do them justice in the future of the franchise...if we're lucky. But enough about me, I want to hear from you. What did you think of the trailer for "Days Of Future Past" and is it getting you amped for May 2014 when we'll our favorite mutants on the big screen? Hit the comments or tell us on Twitter @ClevverMovies. I'm Erin Darling, thanks for tuning in, until next time can we go out with the theme song from X-Men the animated series? Or at least a cheap royalty free imposter?
