It seems this is the only film to poke a hole in the lies spread by the smug, self-satisfied 'Saviours of Africa' Jubilee2000/Live8/G8/Blair/Brown/Bob/Bono bullshit of a couple of years ago. In global terms it was only pennies anyway and now they're whingeing about China offering new loans. Shows both the G8 and their supposedly 'wadical' critics up.

A timely reminder with the upcoming G8 summit next week that debt relief was not all it was cracked up to be, and that more needs to be done now than simply being told we can just "finish off what was started in 2005". I'd like to see the full version!

This is great - I'd like to see the full version. It's high time the media started looking at debt relief a little more closely. From what I can see we've been conned into believing it's more helpful than it is.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that governments of the West serve their own interests before they serve those of the countries or people they promise to help...
