Most people will agree – dealing with the DMV is quite the hassle. One woman, frustrated over a paperwork mix-up and the subsequent loss of her license decided to stage a protest by riding a horse to her local DMV branch in Richmond. She garnered tons of attention from workers and drivers waiting inside to handle their own set of issues.

It all started when the DMV claimed it had no proof of Ashlee Owens’ insurance.

She then sent all the necessary paperwork through traditional snail mail and email, but DMV authorities said they never received any documentation. Her license was soon suspended.

She spent countless hours on the phone with the DMV, only to be put on hold and later hung up on by the system. Absolutely fed up, Owens, dressed to kill with a Louis Vuitton purse on her shoulder, rode her horse, named Sassy to the branch and hand delivered the paperwork.

With all the attention and commotion geared at Owens and Sassy, a DMV worker pulled her aside, listened to her story, reinstated her license and even waived all required fees right on the spot.
