International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach has praised Russia's preparations for the Winter Games in Sochi. Making his first trip to Sochi since being elected head of the IOC last month, Bach met Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin to inspect the host city. Russia is spending more than $50 billion on the Olympics, Putin's pet project. Preparations for the Olympics have been overshadowed by international criticism of a recently enacted Russian law banning ''gay propaganda'' among minors, which many worry may apply to gay athletes and visitors to the games.
Despite what he'll tell you, Brandon Meriweather's hits on Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery in week seven were dirty. He targeted the head and neck area of both players, which is flat out unacceptable. The NFL thought so too, and suspended the safety one game for his actions. Now, Meriweather is ruffling more feathers with his words. When talking about his strategy moving forward, the DB said that: "You just have to go low now, man. You've got to end people's careers. You got to tear people's ACLs and mess up people's knees. You can't hit them high anymore."

Randy Orton and John Cena are the "new" WWE and World Heavyweight Champions respectively. it seems as if the WWE are still not confident in building new stars.
