Brooklyn Born Lou Reed influenced almost fifty years of rock n’ roll with The Velvet Underground and a solo career. The songwriter and musician died October 28th on Long Island, New York. Though the cause of death has not yet been released, Reed did undergo a life-saving liver transplant in May.
