Just a few hours before the Hunkar Rally of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP's) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Patna, four low-intensity blasts reportedly took place in the Bihar capital on Sunday, leaving one dead and several others injured.

1.45pm:Modi says, whenever country needed anything, it looked at Bihar.

Taking a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Modi calls him his friend. "People ask me why did your friend leave BJP I said- he who leaves JP what is BJP," Modi adds.

"When Nitish can leave Jaiprakash Narayan, he can always leave BJP," Modi says.

1.00pm: Unfazed by the multiple blasts in Patna, Narendra Modireached Gandhi Maidan to address the rally.

BJP president Rajnath Singh along with senior party leader Arun Jaitley are also present at the venue.

12.50pm: Fifth bomb explosion was reported at Gandhi Maidan, which is the venue for Narendra Modi'sHunkar rally.

Chaos prevailed on the ground as the explosion triggered panic among people, especially as a crude bomb blast had gone off just hours before at the Patna Railway station, leaving one persons injured.

12.45pm: Four low-intensity blasts took place near Gandhi Maidan, which is Modi's rally venue, reports said.

A suspect was reportedly arrested in connection with the blasts.

Earlier in the day, a crude bomb exploded at a platform in Patna railway station on Sunday, leaving one person injured.

"The explosion occurred at an isolated place on platform number 10. It was a crude bomb and one person has been injured," SSP Manu Maharaj said.
