Danish Royals visit Australian bushfire-ravaged town

Denmark's Princess Mary and Prince Frederik toured Winmalee in Australia's Blue mountains, where nearly 200 homes have been destroyed by wild fires.

Princess Mary walked with the Premier of New South Wales, Barry O'Farrell to see the damage first hand after bush fires swept through the town last week.

The visit proved a morale boost to residents who had lost all their possessions.

"In true Aussie form, I think it's bloody awesome. It's just great to see them out here. I hope all the people that did lose their homes haven't left the area and they're here today to see, I think it's good."

The Australian-born princess and her husband are visiting New South Wales to take part in the 40th anniversary celebrations of the Sydney Opera House.
