"We are on Al Najah Street. I am taking my sisters to do some of their work instead of waiting for the driver or someone to take them."

This video from the Women Driving Campaign appears to show a woman driving in al-Ahsa in the country's east.

The issue is extremely sensitive in the ultra-conservative Islamic kingdom, especially among men.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) MALE SAUDI CITIZEN, ABDULLAH AL-DAKHEEL, SAYING:

"Why are there these demonstrations and campaigns for driving when women don't need to drive? Women go to school with a private driver and back with a private driver and go everywhere and do everything they need with a private driver. There is no reason for them to drive
