The mother of the child, who was pregnant upon boarding the train had been with her own mom for the journey. The expectant female had used the train’s restroom, but unexpectedly and quickly, she ended up giving birth.
The woman’s mother heard her daughter’s cries and rushed to the bathroom, asking for other passengers to help. The brakes were immediately applied.
The newborn was removed from the tracks and given a quick check over by good samaritans. The new mother and infant were rushed to a nearby emergency center.
A doctor who worked with the pair was very surprised at the lack of bodily harm to the newborn and stated “The baby and mother are fit and safe now. But it is very miraculous that there was no injury marks on the new born baby's body.”
