In an absolutely maddening report, an 87-year-old man, Oliver Daff, and his girlfriend were brutally beaten in a home invasion. During the crime, the elderly man’s TV was stolen.

While police have not yet been able to find the suspects, there is a heartwarming twist to the story. Three local police officers pooled their money to buy Daff a new television so he could watch the Baltimore Ravens game.

One of the police staffers who worked to purchase him a TV stated "They can't replace his sense of security, but they can replace some of his material needs, and a television is one of them.”

An area businessman, who had heard of the horrific story, also stepped forward with a television donation.

Investigators currently believe the elderly couple was targeted for the crime. According to Daff, three masked men broke into his home located in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

The suspects pulled the couple out of bed and began beating them, right before stealing their property. The pair was taken to the hospital where their injuries were treated.
