Details on the latest Marvel end credits scene have been revealed and it looks like at least one person isn't too happy with it. With Thor: The Dark World set to hit theaters soon, it's no surprise that details about the film's end credits scene are surfacing. Needless to say, if you don't want to know anything about it, best to go check out one of our other videos, because there will be some minor spoilers ahead! So here's what we know. There will in fact be not one, but two end credits scenes. The end credit scene in The Dark World will be similar to the Tony Stark/Bruce Banner scene we saw in Iron Man 3 and the Shawarma scene in The Avengers and have a more lighthearted tone. I know what some of you are thinking, "Enough with the jokey end-credit scenes and give us a tease to a future Marvel movie!" Don't fret, because the mid-credits scene will do just that. And which future Marvel movie will it be teasing? Some would assume that it would tie in with the next film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and if you are one of those people, we're here to tell you you're wrong! No, The Dark World will instead be going into the far reaches of space to tease Marvel's other 2014 release, Guardians of the Galaxy. We won't get too specific as the scene spoils some plot points of The Dark World, but it features Benicio Del Toro as The Collector, who will play a key role in Guardians of the Galaxy, taking possession of a very important item. So regardless of which type of end credits scene you prefer, you should be happy with what you'll get in Thor: The Dark World. Of course, there's already one person that's not too pleased with the mid-credit scene and that's The Dark World director Alan Taylor. Taylor recently spoke to Bleeding Cool and was asked if he shot the scene to which he responded, "I absolutely did not. I am very happy to not take responsibility." He was then asked if Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn had directed the scene and Taylor responded, "I wouldn't blame it on James Gunn". He quickly switched "blame" to "attributed" explaining that the scene had a very different tone than the rest of the film and it was not how he would have shot it. He did say he thought it was cool that they were able to introduce audiences to the Guardians universe which he called "really cool and wacky". Bleeding Cool later confirmed with Marvel head Kevin Feige that Gunn had in fact shot the mid-credits scene and that it had been shot within the past month. So Taylor may not be a fan of the scene, but let us know what you thought of it when Thor: The Dark World hits theaters on November 8th. Until then, I'm Erin Darling, thanks for watching!
