Motorcycle Decked Out as Two-Wheeled Batmobile
  • 11 years ago
Diehard Batman had the option to purchase a motorcycle, completely redone and decked out to be reflective of the character.

There’s one commonality among all superheroes; they all have undeniably awesome toys.

Diehard Batman fans had the option to purchase a motorcycle on eBay for an asking price of $27,500.
Unfortunately, the vehicle's listing has now ended.

The seller of the motorcycle noted, “This custom bike is 100% electric, and is built around a modified 2002 Harley Davidson V-Rod frame. It is a unique, one-of-a-kind motorcycle that is fully operational and a totally reliable form of transportation.”

Powered by eight AGM lead-acid batteries, they allow the bike to travel about 40 miles per trip. While some riders might see that as a disadvantage, the motorcycle isn’t exactly built for comfort or cross country cruising.

Many of the parts were derived from raw aluminum and steel stock material, but the wheels, fork tubes and braking systems were taken from other bikes and incorporated into the Batpod design, meaning that aside from looking cool, its partially recycled.

No Batmobile would be complete without weapons. The bike is equipped with a flamethrower system and cannons, but the seller made it clear they are inoperable out of the box.

How do you like the concept? Would you want to own one?
