A passenger on an Air India flight recently got an unwelcome surprise when he was served a sandwich that contained worms.

A passenger on an Air India flight recently got an unwelcome surprise when he was served a sandwich that contained a little extra something.
Shockingly, the meal had worms in it. The flight had departed from New York on September 28th and it was headed to New Delhi.
The male passenger reported the incident to authorities at Air India but he didn’t receive a response in regards to disciplinary action taken for two weeks. However a spokesperson for the airline stated that an investigation was immediately launched to find out how it happened and that “suitable action had already been taken against the caterer".
It was also pointed out the ordeal was extremely rare and that Air India has a very strict set of regulations when it comes to choosing a caterer, as they have to prepare the food under very specific hygienic guidelines.
