Vin Diesel is NOT confirmed for Groot in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

I know, he keeps saying that he is, but according to Marvel head, Kevin Feige, it's NOT a done deal. Feige chatted with the Huffington Post while promoting Thor: The Dark World in London, and the interviewer asked him about Diesel's casting status. Is he in or is he out? Feige said quote "Yeah, I think its close. I think its close to being official for the Groot character. But not 100 percent yet."

But what was up with the stilt, pogo stick video Vin posted on his Facebook page? The actor recently posted a video of himself walking around on set of Fast 7 in stilt shoes, and he was telling people in the video that he was prepping for his motion capture work as Groot and that he promised he would do an amazing job in playing the character even though he only has one line.

Vin's comments about Groot have been kinda throwing us all off, because Marvel usually releases casting confirmations once something is a done deal, and they had announced that Bradley Cooper was going to be Rocket Racoon when THAT was done, so we thought something might be up.

And according to Feige, Diesel was just putting on a show for his fans. He said quote "He's got to keep his 50 million followers, or whatever it is, entertained. It's pretty impressive.... I think he's filming "Fast 7" right now -- and occasionally filming himself."

So, I guess we will know it's truly done when Marvel says it is. But what about the Ant-Man rumors? We've heard that both Joseph Gordon Levitt and Paul Rudd were in the running for Marvels upcoming Ant Man movie. Feige basically said that most of the negotiation rumors we've been hearing are false, and that quote "sometimes it's because we are legitimately talking, and sometimes it's just because he's a prominent actor out there now." but I find his last statement very interesting. When he was specifically asked about Paul Rudd, he said quote "Well, nothing is true yet. I like Paul Rudd, too."

But back to Diesel for a moment. Who is kind of annoyed that the actor keeps saying that he's going to play a character when it's not official? And what do you think of Kevin Feige's comments on the Ant Man casting?
