The US State Department is being cagey about allegations that an official from the US embassy in Georgetown, Guyana has been accused of accepting bribes and demanding sex in exchange for US visas. Guyanese applicants for US visas are still outraged that they were turned down either for refusing to pay up to $45,000 USD in addition to sex, or because they weren't sufficiently attractive. The embassy worker has been flown back to the US where he is supposedly being investigated by federal officials.
