"Valayam | Malayalam Film Part 2 of 8
The film deals with the life of a lorry driver,Sekharan.It's like reading a simple novel that has sets in a Kerala village.You can see a well done characterization here, may be because of Lohithadas. Manoj K Jayan plays another important role and he did a very good job.Though the film doesn't offer a challenging role to an actor like Murali, he maintained the character so down to earth. All characters are human beings here.All the girls in the movie donot 'love' the hero/main character,Sekharan.All the characters,be it Sekharan's assistant, or the teashop owner 'Amman' and his wife,'Ammayi',the prostitute character have his/her own existance.
Murali had no burden of stardom.So his transformation to driver Sekharan is convincing.Manoj K jayan played the Villain/anti hero character.But it is character just like others.He has some weakness as well as some ambitions.Some times his actions seemed as a bit dramatic.But,what i liked most in this film is the presence of Lohithadas in front of the camera.It's like he is seeing the pain or life of his characters."
