Vehicle accidents happen all the time and anything imaginable can become a hazard. In one recent and bizarre occurrence, a man in Claremore, Oklahoma struck three goats with his truck.

Initially Raymond Pennington, who was driving a Mazda pickup, noticed one goat on the road. In an attempt to avoid the animal, he swerved but ended up hitting three other goats, which were also on the road.

According to state troopers, the accident occurred a little after 11 at night on County Road North-South 421. As a result of the collision, Pennington was ejected from the truck and thrown about 6 feet.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident and to make the situation even worse, he had been drinking alcohol. A report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol noted that Pennington’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired, but the cause of the accident was listed as animals in the roadway.

Pennington was transported to a hospital by Lifeflight. His condition is now said to be fair. There was no word on whether or not any goats survived the wreck.
