So what's the deal? Is Joseph Gordon Levitt really up for the role of Ant Man or was that casting buzz just a bunch of rumors? According to the actor, there isn't too much to get excited about just yet. Now we heard an update yesterday that JGL said he hasn't auditioned for the role. But that doesn't make these rumors false. In a translated interview with the French division of The Huffington Post, Joe did not say that he wasn't considering the project. He said quote "There is always a lot of rumors around these projects and so far it is still only discussions." So, that definitely makes it sound like he hasn't auditioned, but he did continue with quote "I am always very transparent when it comes to my role and my career. I'm Usually the first to speak and communicate with my fans if something happens. If you hear nothing from me, they are just rumors." So, it sounds like we need to all keep a close eye out for his twitter page. Choosing to be a Marvel superhero is probably not an easy decision. When we hear that actors are in negotiations, we often think that it's mostly about money. However, as Ant Man, Joe will likely be signing on for multiple movies over the course of many years, so that type of commitment is definitely something an actor will need to really think through. On the casting front, we had also heard that I Love You Mans, Paul Rudd was being thrown into the mix. And while he and Joseph Gordon Levitt are two totally different types of actors, with very different looks, perhaps they both being eyed for two totally different roles. So, after you all have had some time to sleep on this possibly casting news. Are you getting your hopes to see Joe to take on Hank Pym? Lets chat about it over on Facebook or Twitter. Bringing you updates on your favorite movies, everyday, Im Erin White and Ill see you soon.
