Samsung Galaxy Round curved screen smartphone opens new battleground
  • 11 years ago
Apple is breaking new grounds in the smartphone market again, and this time, it's their first ever curved screen iPhone5S. Some users in Hong Kong have complained that their iPhone5S became curved not long after they start using it. Although the curved iPhone5S still functions properly, its appearance no longer looks attractive.

LG just announced that they had started producing the first curved screen for smartphones worldwide, and it could be released with their new G Flex in November. The screen is made of plastic and weighs only around 7.2g. LG also plans to release a new type of battery that can be tied in knots like a wire.

However, Samsung will beat LG to the punch as they plan to release their curved screen smartphone, Galaxy Round, next week. Galaxy Round will come with a 5.7 inch screen, quad-core 2.3 GHz processor, and the Android 4.3 system.

While the idea of a curved screen smartphone is innovative, how the actual phone might look is still a mystery.
