Harrison Ford says a preliminary "yes" to Bladerunner 2. It's been 30 years since we saw Harrison Ford kick booty as the famous blade runner, Rick Deckard, but in a recent interview with IGN the actor says that coming back for a sequel is something he would be interested in and it's something that he's discussed with director, Ridley Scott. Ford said quote "Yeah, we've been chatting about it... I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the further telling of this story." A sequel has been Ridley Scott's To Do list for a couple of years now, and just last year original Blade Runner writer Hampton Fancher started working on a screenplay for the sequel. Blade Runner 2 was rumored to be a sequel or prequel and definitely not a remake, and the plan two years ago was to reinvent the film with new faces. But we may be waiting a while on this one, because Ridley Scott, even at 75 years old, is a pretty busy guy. He has a new movie coming out called The Counselor which is a crime drama starring Brad Pitt, Michael Fasbender, Penelope Cruz, and Cameron Diaz and he's also working on the Biblical film, Exodus which tells the story of Moses, which will star Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton. So, if Blade Runner does ever get off the ground, we can only assume that it will be some time before the director takes on another big commitment. The original Blade Runner was a sleeper hit, based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, with Harrison Ford playing a police officer who is on the hunt for engineered robots. The film actually nabbed two Oscar nominations and was even selected to be preserved in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress. So, who thinks Harrison Ford should definitely come back for a Blade Runner sequel? And who thinks that the Blade Runner story should continue to lie peacefully and undisturbed in the Library of Congress?
