    PRESENTED BY RACHEL FORSYTH

The haunting blend of complex and visceral guitar progressions underpinned with driving rhythms and shrouded in evocative vocal interludes convey a post-rock sensibility with deep meaning and heartfelt enthusiasm—this is the Hope Springs soundscape.

Hope Springs originate from the diverse and creative hive of Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The current three piece line-up has been together since 2011 and comprises Tim Lee on guitar and vocals, Jodan Longfield on bass and Joshua Lee on skins. Tim and Jodan have a long history within the local vibrant music scene and the Lee brothers music journey goes back to their childhood days. This three piece band captures your aural senses with atmospheric melodic sections interspersed by punchy, aggressive crescendos and driving rhythms.

Hope Springs have been honing their live craft with numerous headlines and supports up and down the east coast. Hope Springs have built a considerable fan base and are highly respected by music industry peers for their live shows. With a second EP planned for later this year, Hope Springs are ready to take their cultivated, edgy live performance to a wider Australian audience.

To quote Time Off from a review of a live show at The Zoo, Brisbane; "...these guys are truly something else...they flex an aesthetic so realised it boggles the mind they've not already received the recognition they deserve". Singer Tim Lee's heartfelt, anguished vocals lie "buried and strained below the grander picture of each of the band's mini epics".
