World Championship bronze medallist Wie Chen-Yang won the gold medal in men's 58-63 kg Taekwondo on Monday at the East Asian Games in Tianjin, China.
Four taekwondo gold medals were scheduled to be handed out at the newly built Dongjuzi Gymnasium, Tianjin in China.
Finals in the women's 46-49 kg, men's under-54 kg, women's 57-62kg and men's 58-63 kg were all due to take place.
Bronze medallist from the World Championship Wie Chen-Yang from Chinese Taipei encountered South Korea's Kim Tae Hyun in the final of men's 58-63 kg category.
After three rounds, the 21-year-old beat the Korean opponent 9-7.
Wie was the gold medal winner in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, and he also won two bronze medals at the World Championships in 2011 Gyeongju in Flyweight and 2013 Puebla in Bantamweight.
