Typhoon Fitow has made landfall in eastern China bringing with it winds over 150 km/h.

Three-quarters of a million people had to be evacuated from coastal areas before the storm arrived, but those who stayed were hit by heavy rains and power cuts.

It comes just weeks after Typhoon Usagi killed at least 25 people in southern Guangdong province.
