Tunisia parties reach power transfer deal

Political deadlock in Tunisia has been broken with a power transfer deal agreed in talks between the ruling Islamist party and the opposition.
The governing Ennahda party is to step down and an independent caretaker administration will be appointed until new elections are held.
The UGTT union mediated the talks.
