Transcript:
Long ago in the Forbidden Land, a god named Dormin was worshipped by all and everything was grand. Eventually, as is usually the case, a new religion came into power and the people were turned against him. It was believed that Dormin was an evil being, as many horned entities are, and he was imprisoned in the Shrine of Worship by Lord Emon, a powerful shaman, who split Dormin's essence and power into 16 enormous creatures known as the Colossi.
Our hero, aptly named Wander, journeys into the Forbidden land to save a mysterious woman named Mono. Placing her on the altar in the Shrine of Worship, he makes a deal with the Dormin, who is said to have the power to resurrect: only when the sixteen idols lining the hall are destroyed will Dormin once again have the power to bring Mono back to life. Unfortunately, it's not quite that easy when the idols will only be destroyed after each Colossi is slain by the Ancient Sword.
Not one to be outdone, with his valiant steed Agro, the Ancient Sword with indeterminate magical properties, and a bow to help him on this dangerous path to save his damsel in distress, Wander takes off to fight Valus, Quadratus, Gaius, Phaedra, Avion, Barba, Hydrus, Kuromori Basaran, Dirge Celosi, Pelagia, Phalanx, Cenobia Argus and Malus.
