Mercedes reveals details of its yacht design.

Mercedes has cemented its position as one of the leading high-end luxury car makers. Now the company is going after the boat market with a remarkable yacht in the works.

Called the ARROW460, the watercraft will reportedly combine the “design features of Mercedes-Benz automobiles with unrivalled innovations in the boat building industry.”

Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine joined forces to create the stream lined yacht. The boat spans nearly 46 feet long and the cabin can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people.

The first sketches of the boat were released last year, however a recent announcement reveals the final interior and exterior design.

The yacht will be powered by two diesel engines that produce 480 hp each. Like any luxury watercraft, the inside is filled with couches and beds that allow passengers to relax. Convenient technology allows the furniture to be retracted with just the touch of a button to create additional room.

The exterior of the yacht consists of many windows - and depending on the position of the sun, automatically adjusts the glaze. The ARROW460 will reportedly go on sale in 2015 for a price of nearly $1.7 million.
