Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have been signed by the ace filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj in his ambitious next, Haider, which is meant to be as the Shakespeare triology and an Indian adaption of Hamlet.
Along with Shahid and Shraddha, actress Tabu has also been roped to play a prominent role in the film. While Tabu has already been a part of this triology as the Lady Macbeth in Vishal's Maqbool, Shahid will be pairing up with the director after Kaminey.
The Kapoor lad will be essaying the lead role in Haider, whereas Shraddha and Tabu's role are still being kept under wraps.
Hamlet is the story of a former king's son, who takes revenge from his uncle and the then King Claudius, for seizing away the throne after murdering his father. The Indian version of this Shakespeare tragedy will be shot in the beautiful locales of Kashmir, and is scheduled to go on floors by the end of this year itself.
Seems like an interesting casting in an interesting film!
