It was in December 1989 that Romania's Communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena were executed after a short trial. The town of Targoviste has now decided to transform the site of their execution into a public museum, a decision that has proven controversial in a country that's still working out how to deal with its Communist past. France 24 was given exclusive access to the execution site, guided by General Dan Voinea, the prosecutor who carried out the trial.
