Clint Eastwood's wife has reportedly filed for a legal separation in Monterey County Superior Court.
The wife of Clint Eastwood, Dina has reportedly filed for a legal separation in Monterey County Superior Court.
The couple married roughly 17 years ago. This past August, numerous reports surfaced that the California-based couple was living apart from one another.
Dina, who is now 48 years old, asked the court for physical custody of the couple’s teenage daughter along with spousal support. While it remains unclear why the couple is parting ways, it’s speculated that a reality show Dina appeared in called "Mrs. Eastwood & Company” put a strain on the marriage
83-year-old Clint Eastwood didn’t make too many appearances on the show and he reportedly didn’t want his children, family and private life showcased on TV.
The couple originally met in 1993, when Dina worked as a television news anchor. She was assigned to interview Eastwood and the pair quickly hit it off. They married in 1996.
Regardless of the split, Dina has steadfastly defended the actor. She recently posted a message on Twitter for her fans noting “I don't like reading negative things about Clint. He is a wonderful, good-natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that.”
