New 'Harry Potter' Inspired Film Series Coming From J.K. Rowling

Harry Potter fans, get ready because a new JK Rowling series is headed back to the big screen, and you may totally dig it! So, it's not exactly a Harry Potter movie, but JK Rowling has just made a deal with Warner Bros to adapt her new book series, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The multi-movie deal will have Rowling writing the screenplays, which will be a first for the author.The series is inspired by Harry Potter's Hogwarts textbook and it follows the adventures of the book's fictitious author, Newt Scamander. No one can deny the talent that JK Rowling has for creating amazing stories. Her Harry Potter series took the world by storm, and the eight films that Warner Bros produced have grossed more than $7 billion dollars worldwide, which makes the Harry Potter series the highest grossing film franchise of all time. And this new films will have very similar to the themes to the Potter movies, but Rowling wants to be clear that this series is not a sequel or a prequel, but that the laws and customs of the hidden magical society in the books feel very familiar to what fans have seen in the world of Harry Potter. The Fantastic Beasts story is set seventy years before the previous Potter films, and the lead character, Newts journey will start in New York.
