Karachi Water Partnership
Established in 2007, the Karachi Water Partnership (KWP) is a citizen driven initiative aimed at partnering with the city government in solving the water related problems and challenges faced by the city. KWP has the distinction of being the first Urban Water Partnership of its kind in the world. It is recognized by the Global Water Partnership as a model for megacities and is supported by International Network for Capacity Building in Integrated Water Resources Management (CapNet).

Within the Karachi Water Partnership, the following Town Water Partnerships have been established:

Area Water Partnership (AWP) Landhi Town (20th April 2009)
Area Water Partnership (AWP) Gulberg Town (6th October 2009)
Area Water Partnership Lyari Town (17th October 2009)
Area Water Partnership Bin Qasim Town (31st January 2011)
Area Water Partnership Saddar Town (31st March 2011)
