Cast and crew of "The Family," a dark action comedy that tells the story of an ex-Mafia boss and his family relocating to a small town in France, came out for its premiere on Tuesday (September 10) in New York.

The film stars veteran actors Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer as the husband and wife couple, Giovanni and Maggie Manzoni. The family is a notorious mafia clan from Brooklyn, New York who snitch on the mob.

After several tryouts in different towns in the United States they flee to France under the Witness Protection Program to hide from the assassins dispatched by their former colleagues.

Pfeiffer added that sharing the screen with De Niro had been on her bucket list for a while. While she has starred with De Niro in the films "Stardust" and "New Year's Eve," they actually never had a scene together until now.
