We all had our favorites when it came to who we thought should play Batman in Zach Snyder's upcoming Batman/Superman movie. But one actor in Hollywood, one that was a Batman hopeful for many of you, is confirming that he was once being considered for the caped crusader, and even though it didn't work out for him, he is actually a fan of Snyder's choice of Ben Affleck as Batman. And that, my friends, is Josh Brolin. The Huffington Post asked the "No Country for Old Men" actor if he had discussed the role with Snyder, and said that he they both talked about it, but that quote "it just didn't turn out. It's Ok...You know, another scenario might have worked better, but Im happy for Ben." But one thing that Brolin was clearly unhappy about was how the internet responded to the news of Batfleck. He said the global internet response was unlike anything he has ever seen, and that he is actually glad that he isn't Ben Affleck right now. But what seemed to disturb Brolin the most was how ruthless and personal the comments have been saying quote "Its like, 'Fuck this guy, I wish he was dead.' And you're like, 'What? Dude, seriously? This guy is just working like you are. He's doing the same thing you are. He's trying to make the best choices he can." Brolin went on to say that he wants Ben to kick ass and make everyone eat their words. But Brolin isn't the only Batfleck believer. If anyone knows a thing or two about playing a superhero, it's Hugh Jackman, and even Wolverine is coming forward in full support of Snyder's choice saying that he is really happy Ben got the part and that he thinks he will quote "crush it!" So, with all of these very talented and very successful actors coming forward in support of Ben Affleck, does that give any of you confidence that he will rise to the challenge? And do you all agree with Brolin that the internet backlash was way too harsh?
