Miley Cyrus dropped the music video for her latest single "Wrecking Ball," and like the title of the song already describes, this video is having the same impact, completely taking over entertainment headlines with its edgy and artistic vibe. The video, which was directed by famed photographer Terry Richardson, opens with an extreme close-up of Miley looking more gorgeous and more raw than ever. The singer is truly feeling the lyrics of the emotional track as she begins the song, with tears visibly rolling down her cheeks. This shot is followed up by Miley holding a sledge hammer, which she takes with her as she walks into a cement room that's immediately torn apart by a huge wrecking ball, the same wrecking ball we later see Miley riding in a short white tank and white panties, and even later we see several shots of the single on the wrecking ball wearing no clothes at all. For this last reason, reactions to this video have been very mixed, with some viewers being very critical of the nudity, but keep in mind, this song does show a very vulnerable, stripped down version of Miley, which is likely what she's trying to portray visually with the video. This video is further evidence that Miley is growing up and that's she's very successfully reinventing herself as an artist. So what did you all think of her new artistic video? Give us your thoughts below and mark your calendars for October 5th because Miley is set to host and serve as musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
