Kerry, Hague, Muallem, Lavrov hold respective talks

Two separate meetings Monday from leaders on the two sides of the Syrian conflict.

In London, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met with British Foreign Minister William Hague after a whirlwind trip through Europe aimed at drumming up support for military action against the Syrian regime.

Kerry reconfirmed that any military action would be short-term and limited, but that -

"... that the end of the conflict in Syria requires a political solution. There is no military solution, we have no illusions about that."

If and how the Syrian government used chemical weapons to kill hundreds of citizens is still up for debate with both the opposition and President Bashar al-Assad's regime pointing their fingers at each other.

In Moscow, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moualem met with Russian ally and counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
