The European Court of Justice located in Luxembourg has scrapped sanctions against seven Iranian banks and companies, ruling that the measures were unjustified. The court said there’s no evidence that these companies have supported Iran’s nuclear energy program. Therefore, it ruled, the Iranian companies’ assets frozen by the EU must be released in eight weeks time, if an appeal is failed.
