Ahrenshoop is one of Europe's major artists' colonies, with a history going back to 1892. The fishing village became home to dozens of artists, including Max Pechstein, Alexej von Jawlensky and George Grosz. Now, a new museum designed by the renowned firm of Staab Architekten has opened to display the artworks that made Ahrenshoop famous around the world.
