According to the suspect 36-year-old Adam Howland, he came home and heard noises coming from his bedroom. He opened the door and discovered his girlfriend having sex with a man who was, up until that point, a friend of his.
Howland told police he began assaulting the other male by punching him but rage took over and things escalated. He described the fight bragging that he had battled like an MMA fighter.
Howland reportedly knocked his former pal unconscious. He claimed there was blood all over the room. Police had already spoken to the victim who was at the hospital during the interview.
Cops saw numerous lacerations and were told by the hospitalized man that Howland used some type of machete. When confronted, Howland admitted to using the sword and even mentioned that it was left bent after the attack, but he claimed to be surprised that the weapon had cut the other man so deeply.
