Kenya has become the first country to opt out of the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court following a parliamentary vote on Thursday.
Though the opposition argued against the plan to pull out of the ICC, the ruling coalition had the numbers so the motion sailed through.
However. pulling out of the ICC is a long process and it will not affect the cases already at the Hague, including those against President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
