Germany prepare to defend their unbeaten Group C record and take another step towards qualification for the 2014 World Cup when they take on Austria in Muinich on Friday.
Germany could secure Group C's automatic qualification place for next year's World Cup over the next five days.
Joachim Low's side are unbeaten so far, have won five of their six fixtures to date and sit at the top of the standings with 16 points, five clear of Sweden, the Republic of Ireland and Austria, their opponents at the Allianz Arena on Friday.
With a trip to bottom nation Faroe Islands to follow on Tuesday, Germany will be hot favourites to pick up six points from the two fixtures, especially if they can continue their fine record against their close neighbours.
Germany have won their last eight games against Austria, the most recent a 2-1 win in Vienna last September.
Austria, who entertain the Republic of Ireland next Tuesday in a game neither side can afford to lose, scored a 2-1 success over Sweden in their most recent qualifier, but were beaten 2-0 at home by Greece in a friendly in mid-August.
