An ad posted by the Christmas Island tourism board was blocked by Facebook for being inappropriate. The ad had the words ‘juvenile boobies’ in it, referring to the sea birds that live on the island. A Facebook spokesperson reportedly saying it was not comfortable with the language. Christmas Island is reportedly not happy Facebook can’t understand that a booby is a bird.
