Jane Lynch gets Walk of Fame star

Jane Lynch received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday (September 04). Best known for her role as the tracksuit-wearing cheerleader coach, Sue Sylvester, on "Glee," Lynch said she dreamed about getting a star on the famed sidewalk for decades.

"This is amazing. Back in 1992 when I came to Los Angeles, my mom, dad and I walked on that side of Hollywood Boulevard searching for Greta Garbo, my favorite star. We found her star and took pictures of me doing that, and today you all took pictures of me doing that, and maybe in 50 years there will be a kid from a small town in Illinois doing that to my star."

Lynch's role on "Glee" has earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, and a SAG award nomination.
