Michael Bay takes a cue from the Avengers sequel and names Transformers 4.....wait for it....wait for it....Drumroll please... Age of Extinction! Yes, just yesterday there were rumors that the studio has purchased several Transformer themed domain names, and thanks to Michael Bay's website, we have confirmation that the film will now be called Transformers: Age of Extinction. Bay also released the first official poster, which has the T4 logo covered in sand, which looks really cool. Rumors of Dinobots being included in T4 have been heating up over the past week, and we reported to you yesterday that Transformers producer, Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, basically confirmed in an interview that Dinobots will be included in the new story somehow. But this new title, Age of Extinction, seems to elude to the Dinobots playing a major role in the film, suggesting the Age of Extinction could place them arriving on Earth around the time of the dinosaurs as opposed to their original origin, being created on Earth by Wheeljack and Ratchet. Yesterday on our video I noticed some of our subscribers asking for clarification on what Dinobots are! And, because we believe that there are never bad questions, and because some of you weren't around in 1985 when Dinobots were THE hottest toy around, we want to fill you in! Dinobots are Transformers, who are sub-group of the Autobots, and are basically robots that turn in to various species of dinosaurs, like a T-Rex, Triceratops and Stegosaurus. They are super strong and practically indestructible while in dinosaur mode, able to withstand intense firepower. They are also one of the only Autobots with the ability to fly while in robot mode. Their immense power makes them great allies, but like Earth's dinosaurs, they aren't the smartest members of the team and their leader, Grimlock, often resents having to take orders from Optimus. So, who likes the title of Transformers: Age of Extinction? And what do you think it means for the future of Transformers!? Sound off below, or over on Facebook or Twitter.
