Helicopters fly overhead and police stand guard in front of parliament buildings in Stockholm as U.S. President Obama arrives for a visit in the Swedish capital.

A small group of protesters from Amnesty International set up a cage to symbolise Guantanamo Bay- and to ask Obama, who had previously pledged to shut it down- why he hadn't done so yet.

Obama's visit to Sweden will be short- only 24 hours.

He has plans to meet with Prime Minster Fredrik Reinfeldt and other regional leaders.

Obama will also visit the Swedish royal palace.

From Sweden, he will fly to St. Petersburg for the two-day G20 summit.
