Honduras crime wave continues unabated

The number of murders and other crimes in Honduras is rising, despite a recent promise by two notorious street gangs to end the violence in exchange for job training by the government.

Thousands of troops have been deployed on the streets of San Pedro Sula, the city with the highest murder rate in the world, in a bid to prevent more violence.
