Trapped by Obama, trapped by the British Parliament, by the French media and even by his own past declarations while in opposition. François Hollande is certainly between a rock and a hard place as pressure mounts on him to put military intervention in Syria to a vote in the French Parliament. Constitutionally, President Hollande is not obliged to do so but Obama's decision to seek Congressional approval has upped the pressure on the Elysée Palace to follow suit.
