Ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi is set to stand trial on charges "of committing acts of violence and inciting killing and thuggery", according to the country's state news agency.

Public prosecutor, Hesham Barakat has reportedly referred Mursi and a total of 14 members of the Muslim Brotherhood to a criminal court in Cairo.
