Hundreds gather in downtown Amman Friday to demonstrate against military intervention in Syria.

The King of Jordan -- a key U.S. ally --has already said that dialogue is the only option for Syria.

One man says after seeing what happened in Iraq he can't support US action in Syria.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) PROTESTER MAHMOUD SALAMEH SAYING:

"I am totally against invasion or any intervention in Syria, because we have seen what human rights that America demonstrated in Iraq, and this is going to be not replicated here. "

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SYRIAN REFUGEE LIVING IN THE CAMP, BILAL AMMARI, SAYING:

"Many nations will not participate, because the regime is like the mafia that has many nations supporting it around the world. We hope that the strike, even if it is limited, will help the Free Syrian Army gain control
